Building location update
October, 2011
We are awaiting a variance from the Middlesex Township Zoning board to erect a tower at our proposed studio location.
We are waiting to sign the lease with the owner of the building who is actively supporting WPFG and we are praying the needed variance will be approved quickly so we can proceed with moving the equipment and office furniture into the building.
Training on the equipment and establishing the broadcasting day continues.
The board has hired Buz Taylor as an independent contractor to work with Chief Engineer Nelson Frey to continue progress with programming and training while this legal hurdle is overcome.
We are thankful for our lawyer Scott McCarroll and Project Manager Bruce Apgar Sr. who continue to donate their time to keep each one of these hurdles from becoming stumbling blocks.
Please pray the variance will be awarded quickly.
WPFG FM Updates
August 6, 2011
We are thankful for a successful 5th Sunday Sing! The music was a blessing with many musicians, many musical styles, and many supporters participating in singing hymns new and old. The fellowship was especially encouraging to all in attendance. Thank you to Young's United Methodist Church for hosting! The event raised $503.05 for WPFG!
Wednesday was a landmark day for the new board as they walked through what we anticipate to be our new Studio location. A lease agreement is in the works and no anticipated roadblocks seem to be in the path ahead. We are thankful for this huge milestone for the station.
We are planning to have pictures of the new building ~ hopefully with all equipment moved in and Lord willing fully operational~at our Gospel Concert on Friday, September 30th. Plan to join us to hear some awesome Gospel music from Randy Simpson, The Jacobs Brothers and The Couriers. Doors open at 6 music starts at 7 with the Bridge Choir!
Now is the time to support WPFG with your prayer and financial support. The last piece of our "get on the air puzzle" is You. We need financial supporters to contribute now to begin hiring the needed personnel and fulfill our operating budget requirements. We are so thankful for volunteers who have brought us this far. The FCC regulations require employees to be in the building during business hours. Your faithful giving will make this possible.
It is an exciting time, and we are thankful you are along for the ride. Please join us in prayer over all these details, how you can contribute financially, and how you can help us spread the word.
