Randy Simpson Concert Benefits Christian Radio Station
Supporters of Cumberland Valley Christian Radio joined together for an evening of uplifting and inspirational Christian music presented by local musician Randy Simpson on Saturday, February 19th.
Despite the gusting wind and frigid temperatures outside, the sanctuary of Otterbein United Methodist Church, on Forge Road in Carlisle, quickly warmed up and radiated joy as it filled with the Gospel music and easy humor of Randy Simpson.
The award winning artist donated the evening's ticket sales to support Cumberland Valley Christian radio's goal to get on the air as WPFG 91.3FM in 2011. Randy's strong vocals, warm Gospel based stories and light-hearted humor converted the many first time attendees to Randy Simpson fans.
Randy comfortably moved among the crowd, shaking hand and exchanging jokes and greetings, leaving smiles in the place of frowns, while his voice reflected his heart to serve the Lord. His musical offerings included songs of inspiration, faith, family and patriotism. His uplifting performance encouraged smiles and laughter to replace the cares of the world and generated energy to replace the winter doldrums.
The benefit concert raised $1000.00 for through ticket sales and donations.
