WPFG will be selling chicken BBQ halves and full meals to raise funds for the stations. This fundraiser will take place at Diller Mennonite Church in Newville, PA on July 13th starting at 10:30 AM until sold out. A full meal includes 1 chicken half, baked beans, roll & butter, apple sauce, brownie, and a choice of beverage. Please make reservations for meals by calling the station at 241-9734.
Recently WPFG has partnered with Community Aid in order to provide additional financial support for WPFG through setting up used clothing drop-off bins at various locations. WPFG has recently secured three additional bin locations, one at each of the following places: Diller Mennonite Church, Zimmerman Auto, and Agar Welding Carlisle location. WPFG is seeking hard good donations to use in our upcoming online auctions. These auctions will be used to raise funds for our operating expenses. If you have items that are new or consignment quality, such as furniture, toys, books, kitchen items, antiques, or other salable items, and would like to donate them, please contact the station at 717-241-9734, or drop them off at our studio located at 14 Stover Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015 during our normal business hours -- 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
The Bridge Choir will be forming in August to support the August 18th Sunday Night Sing. The choir will prepare with two rehearsals on Thursday August 8 and 15 from 7-8:30 PM at CRPC 14 Westminster Dr. in Carlisle. The Sunday Night Sing is scheduled at St. Matthew's United Church of Christ on Carlisle Springs rd. (rt 34) at 7 PM. The choir will prepare 2 anthems and learn the hymns to support the singing.
