Providence Presbyterian Church, 1215 Church Rd., York will host Poiema Visual Arts biennial art conference, Thursday thru Saturday, July 24th-26th. A primary aim of Poiema Visual Arts is to bring Christian visual arts together through discipleship, education, and community. This is a time when believing artists from all across Pennsylvania and its surrounding states are invited to connect and grow. Comprised of keynote addresses, various educational breakout sessions, a vendor hall, and a preview of local arts attractions; the goal is to individually and communally grow to be the Christian-artist-whole-humans God intended us to be. This year a very special emphasis will be placed on the use of therapeutic art as tools in helping individuals to heal within varied contexts.
